This week’s endangered species is on its way out – in a good way! On February 4, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposed delisting the California Night Lizard from the Endangered Species Act. Thanks to a conservation plan focusing on habitat restoration and education, the species, which is found only on the Channel Islands off the coast of southern California, has rebounded sufficiently to be delisted!
